Learning Chinese Language in 1970s

This project has a dual purpose and objective. It aims to honor C.P. Sobelman's career at Columbia University while also documenting the way in which language instruction, particularly of Chinese, has evolved during her tenure at Columbia. This will be done by obtaining testimonials from her former students, many of whom have gone to have notable careers in academia, diplomacy, journalism, business or entertainment.[read more ...]
